Wallaroo Beachfront Tourist Park (formally Office Beach Caravan Park) boasts an array of accommodation choices, from deluxe cabins to powered sites, so you can be sure you will find the perfect space for your needs! We are also proud to be a pet friendly park, so you can bring your four legged friend when you choose to camp out on one of our beautiful, grassed powered sites!
Our large amenities block includes everything you will need, so you never even have to leave the park! Our laundry, toilets, showers and disabled bathroom are well maintained and always tidied, and camp kitchen and BBQ facilities are available to all of our guests free of charge!
If you do want to get out and about, the park is within just walking distance of the main street’s shopping district, hotels, and restaurants. Better still, you can have a go at catching your own dinner at the nearby jetty!
Wallaroo is a popular holiday destination for both beach lovers with its crystal clear water, and budding historians with the towns extremely rich history. Surveyed in the late 1860s, Wallaroo was names are W.W Hughes’ Wallaroo Station, located east of the smelting works site which was established in 1861, following the discovery of copper ore at the nearby Wallaroo Mine (Kadina) and Moonta.
The smelters were responsible for the development of the town, and with its modern deep water jetty, large grain silos, bulk loading facilities and superphosphate production, Wallaroo is not the major port on the western coast of the Peninsula, and is now one of the busiest ports in SA!
One of the towns most popular attractions is the Wallaroo Nautical and Maritime Museum, and the biennial Cornish Festival.
